About The Cause

Sociedad Ambiente Marino (SAM) is a pioneer in coral restoration across the Puerto Rican archipelago, home to the Caribbean’s oldest community-based reef aquaculture and restoration program since 2000. Over the past decade, the organization has led more than 25 conservation projects, making a lasting impact on marine ecosystems.

I first came across SAM in college while working on Beneath Paradise, my senior short film. I was drawn to their work because I believe in the importance of protecting our oceans and helping them thrive.
